The efficient cloud solution TradeCore optimizes the procurement process

The Onventis GmbH, a Stuttgart-based provider of e-procurement solutions from the cloud, has won with the WMF Group a further important new customer: In the future, the international brand company will rely on the modularly structured TradeCore platform from Onventis. The cloud solution will replace the previous e-procurement platform at WMF Group, will be connected to the existing SAP landscapes via interfaces and will make procurement even more efficient in a seamless digital workflow. As a user-friendly complete solution for the entire source-to-settle process, it streamlines the processes, saves costs and creates transparency in purchasing.

The digital transformation doesn’t even stop at purchasing – the classic procurement process is handled electronically throughout and highly automated by the use of merchandise management systems. The advantages are obvious: The standardized purchasing processes save time and costs, and the central platform also creates a secure basis for corporate audits. The WMF Group will also make its procurement processes in indirect purchasing even more efficient, user-friendly and transparent in future with the e-procurement solution from Onventis. The new partnership starts with the replacement of the existing e-procurement system.

Ralf Michalak, Head of Purchasing Indirect Materials and Services at WMF Group, emphasizes the high system speed and stability, the functionality as well as the consistency of TradeCore: “The complete package of Onventis is the right solution for us in indirect purchasing, because it can be directly connected to our SAP systems and non-SAP systems, offers our users a user-friendly interface with transparent procurement process steps and allows us to expand our e-procurement in a modern way”. Incoming goods are to be booked electronically throughout, the procurement of services is to be increased and electronic order confirmations are to be created.

The scalability of TradeCore allows the WMF Group in the future also the seamless expansion with further modules such as sourcing or the realisation of an applicant platform for suppliers. Release processes as well as rights and role concepts are stored in TradeCore as approval workflow

The supplier registers himself on the portal and assigns himself to his individual product groups. In this way, the buyer can combine product catalogs from various suppliers into one multi-supplier catalog and search for goods and services from several suppliers simultaneously. As soon as the desired articles are found, the buyer can place them in the shopping cart and send purchase orders to the release process. The goods receipt is posted directly in TradeCore and automatically transferred to SAP via an interface. Supplier management and the seamless digital process significantly reduce the time between request and delivery, as well as costs. In addition, supplier rating improves risk management.
