Kloepfel Buyer Salary Report 2020 in Cooperation with Onventis

For the eighth time, Kloepfel used an online salary survey to examine the remuneration structures in purchasing departments in the DACH region – this year in cooperation with Onventis. Salary differences are evaluated and analyzed on the basis of a wide range of characteristics.

2020 has been a challenging and uncertain year so far. COVID-19 and the accompanying economic consequences upset all future plans and forecasts – both of companies and their employees. Not least for this reason, it is particularly important in these times for purchasing personnel to maintain an overview and create transparency – and this also applies to their own pay.

For many purchasers, interest in how their salary compares to colleagues within and outside their own industry is currently being joined by an inquisitiveness about their own market value. After all, the Corona pandemic has not infrequently necessitated a reorientation to another industry.

This is where the big Kloepfel Buyer Salary Report 2020 in cooperation with Onventis deliberately comes in: In addition to the usual average salary survey, this year you will also find information on the positions in which most purchasing personnel suffered salary losses due to the crisis. Figures were also collected on the extent to which buyers estimate that their companies have been affected by the crisis. Around 1,900 purchasing employees and managers were surveyed this year. In order to obtain the most precise results possible, the online questionnaire comprised 22 questions. In addition to salary, demographic data and information on qualifications and training were also collected.
